Introducing Viva Araceli

The last year has been a whirlwind. Looking back on it I am a little amazed I spent most of it pregnant. This year was full of both business highs and lows for husband’s company. For me it ended up being my most successful year, but that didn’t really kick into full gear until August when I was approaching my third most challenging trimester. I’m lucky to have such wonderful clients. So many of you helped me schlep my gear at your photo shoots and I am eternally grateful for that.

So without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Viva Araceli Langworthy. She was born at 2:45am on Saturday November 24th, 2018. She weighed 8 lbs 12 oz, and measured 20.5 inches.

As I post this Viva is about 2.5 weeks old. Her name has different meanings and is mainly Spanish. One translation could mean, “Long Live the Alter of Heaven”. Her first name is a chant of joy - an exclamation of happiness. And I must say. in her short time with us she has lived up to that. She is a sleepy ball of mush right now, but she’s the only two week old I’ve ever met that could smile back at me. We are enjoying her immensely.

Her biggest sister Nova is totally enamored by her and actually quite helpful. It is fun watching Nova, who is now four years old, with a baby sister. She was practically still a baby when Taza was born so this is a new experience for me. Taza loves the baby too. She loves to sing to her (or anyone for that matter) and give her kisses. She is also thrilled that I can now cuddle and play with her, which I think has been helped make this a positive transition.

Kyle and I are a little delirious on the weekends. But that is not a new feeling. And I can say that past experience with this delirium has made it easier to manage so far. It probably helps that we both work from home this time around and find ways to help one another. Its the little things, like heating up lunch for me when I’m nursing, that make all the difference.

Hope you enjoy the photos of our #langworthyladies Thank you to everyone who has sent love our way. Your support and kindness has been deeply felt!

xo, Raquel
